Morning Wedding Guest Makeup

Hi everyone!

I have to tell you that it feels really good to be back working as a makeup artist. If you are a freelancer like myself, you know the anxiety of booking your first job after a long break (or ever) and wondering if anyone will give you a chance. So I’m very lucky that I got a shot rather soon after announcing my comeback.

My client was to attend a morning wedding so we opted for something light and fresh.

After prepping the skin with a moisturizer and eye cream, I used a silicone based primer to create a smooth base for makeup. And because she was going to a long event, I used RCMA color process foundation so I could create a very even skin tone without weighing down the skin with too much product. Any blemishes that were showing after the thin layer of foundation were covered with Kryolan concealer.

Markedly absent from this look is any obvious cream contouring and highlighting. Mornings are about freshness and a light feeling so I just bought warmth back to her features with a bronzing powder and blush.

My client expressed that she wanted a smoky eye and I was happy to oblige. We kept the look light using pink brown shades from Makeup Forever’s new Starlit palette (a gift I bought myself as a coming back present!). We finished the look with some MAC fluid line and false eyelashes.

The beautiful bright rosy lips is a pure Inglot look. I first used a lipliner and layered two rosy lip products to get this fresh look. Product list below.
